Nita Ambani paid homage to her father-in-law, late Dhirubhai Ambani by launching ‘Parampara’ event at the NMACC
Nita Ambani inaugurated a two-day-long weekend celebration, ‘Parampara’ to mark the timeless Guru Shishya legacy at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. The businesswoman also performed a traditional lamp lighting on the special occasion and paid homage to her Guru and her father-in-law, late Dhirubhai Ambani. The event was organised by Nita Ambani to celebrate Guru Purnima, and it was graced by many renowned personalities.

In the pictures shared by one of the Ambani’s fan pages, we can see Nita Ambani decked up in a pink-hued saree. The six yards of her saree featured patchwork embroidery and a broad pattern on the border. She completed her look with a statement neckpiece and matching earrings and opted for a mid-parted bun hairdo. Nita Ambani graced the stage to address the guests present at the event, and we could see a huge portrait of her father-in-law, late Dhirubhai Ambani in the background.
When late Dhirubhai Ambani thought of making Nita Ambani his bahu
Nita Ambani had a keen interest in Bharatanatyam, so she started learning the classical dance form at the early age of 6 years. Later on, she became a professional Bharatanatyam dancer, courtesy of her gifted talents. However, did you know that it was during one of her dance performances when late Dhirubhai Ambani saw her for the first time? Yes, you read that right! After seeing Nita for the first time, he thought of asking her hand for his elder son, Mukesh. However, Nita laid one condition to marry Mukesh and asked the Ambanis to let her work post-marriage, and they agreed.

When Isha Ambani hailed her mother, Nita Ambani for her love for arts at the NMACC launch
During the launch event of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Isha Ambani talked about the NMACC being a dream and called it a tribute to her mother, Nita Ambani’s lifelong devotion to the arts. The doting daughter lauded her mother for her love for the arts and appreciated her for her constant efforts to make this dream a reality. Isha said:
“All under one roof! Only at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Bringing this centre to life has been an absolute labour of love and joy. Named after my mother, the NMACC is a tribute to her lifelong devotion to the arts. As a trained classical dancer, the stage has always been my mother’s temple. But her love for the arts has transcended beyond medium or form. Over the years, I have seen her dedicate herself to reviving, preserving, and promoting traditional Indian arts and crafts.”
