Miss Universe-turned-actress, Lara Dutta is known for her straight-forwardness and stunning personality. Courtesy of what, she could easily bag so many awards at an International level. Currently, she is enjoying her happily-ever-after life with Indian tennis player, Mahesh Bhupathi. In addition, the couple was blessed with a little angel, Saira Bhupathi on February 20, 2011. For the unversed, post-embracing motherhood, Lara had taken a sabbatical from her acting career, and finally, she returned to acting with her comedy series, Kaun Banegi Shikharwati, released on Zee5. However, being an avid social media user, she often shares posts of her loving husband and daughter. For instance, on December 20, 2021, Lara had taken to her IG handle and shared an adorable picture of her husband, Mahesh and daughter, Saira posing cutely towards the camera. Lara had captioned the picture as:
“Two peas in a duvet pod!! The ultimate ‘Netflix and chill’ duo!! @mbhupathi #love #family #blessed #fathersanddaughters #minihim #whoruntheworld.”

On October 19, 2022, Lara Dutta was spotted at an event organised by the pharma company, Abbott, based on women’s health and wellness. In a video shared by one of her fan pages, she was heard talking about issues like menopause. In addition, she can be heard openly speaking that majority of women don’t even have access to proper physical and medical healthcare facilities. Not only that, sharing two pictures from the event, she penned a note mentioning October, which is seen as the menopause month. An excerpt from her note can be read as:
“October is menopause month. A good moment to ask ourselves how much we really understand menopause…Many women face the ups and downs of this phase in their lives, feeling alone.”

This was not the first time, when proof of Lara’s open-mindedness was found. Earlier, in an interview with Brut India, Lara had revealed that she was in shock when she found out that her daughter, Saira was aware of the concept of divorce at the age of four. Lara mentioned that her husband, Mahesh’s favourite series is F.R.I.E.N.D.S and that her daughter was hooked on the show just like her dad. Lara had said:
“His favourite show ever is Friends, which he got my daughter hooked on to when she was just four years old. So at four, my daughter came and asked me one day, ‘Mum…’ she was playing a game and she said, ‘Oh, I’m living. This is my house, that’s your house and I’m divorce.”

Further, in the same conversation, Lara mentioned that she was curious to know, how her daughter, Saira, came to know about this word. So she asked her daughter, who explained to her the meaning of divorce. Talking about the same, Lara had said:
“Who told you this?’ She said, ‘Daddy did’. I was like (gesturing a phone call) ‘Mahesh, why the hell have you told her what divorce is?’ and he started laughing. He was like, ‘No we were watching Friends and she wanted to know why was Ross married three times.’ I was like, ‘So you told her the meaning of divorce?’ That’s the kind of parents we are.”
