For the unversed, according to many user reviews, the characters portrayed by Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in the film are introduced as ex-lovers, both of whom had undergone tumultuous and unhappy marriages. However, as the film progresses, the duo, who have aged now, are shown towards a union, and even share a passionate kiss.

According to these movies, one person has to cheat on their partner in order to find true love’. Yet another netizen expressed, ‘Let’s normalise that adulatory exists along with fidelity. Films like KKHH and K3G give unrealistic views on love and family values’.

Another point of highlight that has been making the film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani hit all the headlines was due to the passionate kissing scene between Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra. While the audience felt that the scene was totally unexpected, others also began to criticise the veteran actors for doing such a scene at their age. However, when Shabana Azmi was asked about her take on the buzz about the particular scene, she reacted as:

“I never thought it would create such a fuss! People are laughing and cheering when we do the kiss. While shooting it was never an issue. It is true that I haven’t kissed much on screen before. But who wouldn’t want to kiss a man as handsome as Dharmendra?”
