Alia Bhatt has marvelled at everyone with her fitness journey after the birth of her daughter, Raha Kapoor. While many hailed Alia for keeping her weight a priority, many thought that she had lost weight unnaturally. Alia often becomes the subject of trolls and hate comments. Alia Bhatt talked about people thinking that she lost weight unnaturally
In an interview with Vogue India, Alia Bhatt opened up on how people think that she lost her weight unnaturally. She clarified that she had not followed any unnatural method to get back in shape. Alia also added that she can’t even get her wisdom tooth extracted because she is breastfeeding Raha, and she cannot be given anaesthesia. Alia was quoted as saying:
“I know everyone believes that I lost weight unnaturally but the truth is that I can’t even get my wisdom tooth extracted at the moment since I’m breastfeeding and can’t be given anaesthesia.”

Alia further added that people think that stars do unnatural things to get their bodies back in shape. She added that it was the prime reason why she documented parts of her fitness journey on her Instagram handle. Alia didn’t put any pressure on herself. She further revealed that her doctors told her to start heavy workouts post-12 weeks of her delivery.
Alia Bhatt revealed her postpartum fitness routine to get back in shape
In the same interview, Alia revealed that she is not back to her pre-pregnancy weight. She is a kilogram away. Alia followed a natural routine during her pregnancy and post it. She goes on a 15-minute walk and makes sure to do her breathing exercises as it improves blood flow. Alia Bhatt revealed that she made sure not to keep a check on her weight every day as many people do religiously. She shared that she used to check her weight once in two weeks.
Alia Bhatt’s saasu-maa Neetu Kapoor made her gond ke laddus
In Indian household, when a lady gives birth, she is advised to eat gond ke laddu to get back her strength and heal herself from the childbirth. Alia’s saasu-maa, Neetu Kapoor also made her eat gond ke laddus, which she ate for six weeks. She was quoted as saying:
“My mother-in-law even made me those gond ke laddus which I ate for six weeks. People need to understand that putting on weight during pregnancy is not a result of eating too much; it’s because you’re making life inside you and that life needs that extra weight. It has to be in sync with your BMI, of course, and you should consult a professional if you have questions but you’re supposed to put on a certain amount of weight. It’s completely okay!”
